We are getting down to the wire! Please contact me for any questions or concerns before the event, so that way you are not dealing with them during the event.

And remember. Bring *YOUR* *FAVORITE* Food and Drink (No Alcoholic drinks, sorry) AND enough for 2 or 3 people, So we have plenty of food for everybody!
Don't forget that we WILL have an area setup for food, including a Microwave, Grill, Toaster Oven enough for a small pizza, and a small refrigerator.

Make a checklist so you don't forget anything!

And don't forget to let me know if you and friends are coming so I can prepare for it!

    All participants of the LAN ANT 4 event will be required to bring
your FAVORITE food and drink, for yourself and enough for 2 or 3 others!


If your favorite food requires cooking before eating, We will have a George Foreman Grill, Quick Cook Grill, and Microwave available for just that!
Therefore there will be enough food for everybody, and also help the cost of Computer ANTS
hosting these events! This will also allow for a large diverse variety of food and drink as opposed
to just pizza and soda... If you have any questions concerning this, let me know!

When:
 July 14th, 2007, That is on a Saturday.

Event and gaming begin at 10 AM on Sat.

Arrive as early as 9AM if you want to get a headstart on setting things up.

The event will start in the morning and be finished when it's finished

 


 Items that you will need to bring:
 You are advised to label your personal belongings and make a list of items you have brought with you so your equipment does not get misplaced, accidentally taken or forgotten.

Your own computer:    *Tower, Shuttle, or Laptop
(or modified trash can, as long as it plays the games we will be playing!)

Your own monitor.
(Unless you plan on playing by feel and sound alone. at that point you will be made fun of accordingly.)

Peripherals:
  1. Mouse.
  2. Keyboard.
  3. Ear based audio. Headset, Earphones, Earbuds.

Cables and cords:
 
  1. Long Ethernet RJ45 Patch Cable
  2. Power cords for your Monitor and PC
  3. Your own surge protected power strip
     
Game Software:
 
  • Certain games require the CD to play. Do not forget to bring your game software discs.
  • PLEASE make sure you update all of your games before coming, so you won't be left out while trying to update your software
     
Money:
 
  • It always happens. Someone comes up to the door with a car loaded with computer gear and they forget to bring their entrance fee. Bring enough money to cover the entire event, plus a little extra just in case.
Warm weather clothing:
  • Temperature will vary inside the event. Think tshirt.

Items that will be provided:

 
  • 48 Port Switch - (Because nobody likes switch spiderwebs.)
     
  • Fast Dedicated LAN Game Server - (1.5GB Ram - Gigabit Ethernet)
     
  • Tables - (Unless your PC has a built in table... you'll be using one)
     
  • Chairs - (However it is welcomed that you bring your own comfortable chair!)
     
  • Power - (We have the power... You need to bring your surge protection)
  • Wired/Wireless Internet - (Not fast, but functional net will be available)
  • Parking Space - (Unless you're walking)
  • Restroom - (Or you can use the corner)
  • Comfortable lounge chairs - (just for you)

Rules:

 

No UPS Uninterruptible Power Supply Battery Backup Systems
 No Speakers.  Ear based audio only.
 No Pets, Even if they are LAN party trained.
 No Smoking Inside the Building or directly at the front door
 No Alcohol, drugs, or controlled substance may be brought to the event. If intoxicated, do not return to the event.
 No weapons whatsoever will be allowed inside the event area. This includes pellet guns, knives, air guns, and anything similar.
 Sexual Harassment will not be tolerated. If reported and confirmed, you will be removed from the event without refund.
 No fighting, brawling, punching, scratching, kicking, or any other form of physical conduct. Fights will be broken up with force if neccessary and involved parties will be removed from the event. Law enforcement will be involved as necessary.
No hacking or intentional network disruption. There will be 0 tolerances for this behavior
Keep your food and drink away from other peoples belongings. As you would appreciate the same from others.
Clean up after yourself. Trash bags/cans will be on site.
No Cheating. If you are caught cheating in a tournament or in normal game play, you will be subject to removal without refund.

At The Door - (This means you pay more if you just show up at the door without signing up.)
$10.00  -  Same price as signups! 10 dollars regardless!
However, I still request that you let me know ahead of time if you are going to be coming, so i can gauge attendance and prepare accordingly... Walk-ins are still welcome.

 



This will go towards Table and Chair Rental, Duke Power, Embarq Internet, Rent, Lawsuits, Garbage Pickup, and/or calibrating the Flux Capacitor.
